Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit scholarly manuscripts that fall within the focus and scope of Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran. Every submitted manuscript will undergo an initial editorial screening to assess its relevance to the journal's scope, compliance with the Author Guidelines, minimum scientific quality, originality, and adherence to publication ethics.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening will be forwarded for peer review by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. The final decision to accept, revise, or reject a manuscript rests with the Editor, taking into account the reviewers' recommendations and the scientific merit of the manuscript.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript represents original work, has not been previously published, and is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal or publisher. The use of third-party materials, including figures, tables, photographs, instruments, software, and datasets, must comply with applicable copyright, licensing, permission, and attribution requirements.

All listed authors must have made appropriate scholarly contributions to the research and/or preparation of the manuscript, approved the final version, and agreed to its submission. Research involving human participants, animals, or other subjects requiring ethical oversight must include appropriate information regarding ethical approval or compliance.

Before submission, authors must comply with the following requirements:

Originality and Similarity Screening

All manuscripts will be screened using similarity-detection software such as Turnitin. As an editorial policy of Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran, the overall similarity index must not exceed 20%, while similarity attributable to any single source must not exceed 3%, taking properly quoted material and references into consideration.

A similarity percentage alone does not constitute a determination of plagiarism. The Editorial Team reserves the right to evaluate the context of all detected similarities and may reject a manuscript even when its similarity score falls below these thresholds if plagiarism, inappropriate text recycling, or unattributed use of another work is identified.

Citation and References – IEEE Style

All citations and references must follow the IEEE Reference Style. In-text citations must appear as sequential numbers in square brackets, for example [1], [2], or [3]–[5].

References must be listed in the order in which they first appear in the manuscript rather than alphabetically. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference-management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote to ensure consistency.

Reference Quality

Manuscripts should contain at least 15 references, with strong emphasis on primary scholarly sources, particularly peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, and relevant original research.

Where appropriate, more than 80% of the references should be primary sources and more than 80% should represent recent literature, while relevant seminal or foundational works may still be cited.

Author Identity and Affiliation

Each author's full name must be provided without academic titles, together with a complete institutional affiliation, country, and active email address.

The use of institutional email addresses is strongly encouraged. A corresponding author must be clearly identified. ORCID iDs are strongly encouraged, particularly for the corresponding author.

Journal Template

Manuscripts must be prepared using the official Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran Template and comply with the journal's requirements concerning article structure, fonts, tables, figures, equations, units, citations, references, and page layout.

The main manuscript file must be submitted in Microsoft Word .doc or .docx format.

Scientific Quality

Manuscripts must present a clearly defined research objective, adequate scientific foundation, defensible methodology, analytical results and discussion, and conclusions that directly address the stated research objectives.

Research articles should clearly establish the state of the art, identify the research gap, and explicitly describe the scientific contribution or novelty of the work.

Research and Publication Ethics

Where applicable, authors must disclose ethical approval, informed consent, funding sources, competing interests, and individual author contributions.

Data fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate text recycling, and citation manipulation are prohibited.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Any substantive use of generative Artificial Intelligence tools in preparing the manuscript must be transparently disclosed, including the purpose and nature of their use.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, appropriate citation, and integrity of all manuscript content.

The journal maintains separate policies governing the use of AI by Editors and Reviewers in order to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the editorial process.

Author Approval

Submission of a manuscript confirms that all authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript, authorship order, affiliations, corresponding author designation, and submission to Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran.

Ethical Approval

For research requiring ethical approval, authors must state the approval number and issuing institution in the manuscript and upload the ethical approval document as a separate file during submission. If ethical approval is not applicable to the study, no such document is required.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran must meet the following requirements:

The manuscript complies with all requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines and has been prepared using the official Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran Template.
The manuscript is an original work, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by another journal or publisher.
All authors have approved the manuscript content, authorship order, affiliations, and submission to Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran.
The title, abstract, keywords, author names, affiliations, email addresses, and other metadata have been entered completely, accurately, and consistently with the manuscript.
All citations and references have been checked for accuracy and completeness and have been formatted according to the IEEE Reference Style. Every reference listed has been cited in the manuscript, and every in-text citation has a corresponding entry in the reference list.
All tables, figures, graphs, and illustrations have been properly numbered, titled or captioned, cited in the text, and prepared at sufficient quality for publication.
Permission has been obtained to use and publish all third-party materials included in the submission, including photographs, figures, tables, instruments, software, and datasets, whenever such permission is required.
The manuscript complies with the journal's originality and similarity policy. Authors understand that submitted manuscripts may be screened using similarity-detection software and may undergo further editorial assessment if potential plagiarism or unattributed use of another person's work is identified.
For research requiring ethical approval, information regarding ethical approval, the approval number, and/or informed consent has been provided in the manuscript where applicable.
All sources of funding, potential conflicts of interest, and author contributions have been transparently disclosed where applicable.
If generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools have been used substantively in preparing the manuscript, their use has been disclosed in accordance with the journal's AI policy. AI tools are not listed as authors.
The authors accept full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, scientific integrity, and content of the submitted manuscript.

Articles

This section accepts original scientific research articles or conceptual reviews that have not been previously published elsewhere. All submitted manuscripts will undergo an objective peer-review process.

Authors who publish with Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran agree to the following terms:

Copyright remains with the author(s). Authors retain the copyright of their published articles and do not transfer copyright ownership to Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran.
Authors grant Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran the right of first publication and a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, archive, index, and make the article available in electronic or other formats.
Articles are published as open-access works under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits others to copy, distribute, display, adapt, and reuse the work for any lawful purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the author(s) and the original source of publication.
Authors may deposit, share, and distribute the published version of their article through institutional repositories, personal websites, academic profiles, or other scholarly platforms, provided that the original publication in Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran is properly acknowledged and the article DOI is included when available.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all third-party materials included in the article, including figures, tables, photographs, datasets, instruments, or other materials, are used in accordance with applicable copyright and permission requirements. Any third-party material not covered by the CC BY 4.0 license must be clearly identified.
By submitting and agreeing to the publication of an article, the authors confirm that the manuscript is original, does not infringe upon the copyright of others, and that all necessary permissions for publication have been obtained.

Privacy Statement

Names, email addresses, affiliations, and other personal information entered on the Jurnal Inovasi dan Keinsinyuran website will be used exclusively for journal management, editorial processing, peer review, publication, communication with authors, reviewers, and editors, and other administrative purposes related to scholarly publishing.

Such information will not be used for any other purpose or disclosed to third parties, except where necessary for publication, indexing, DOI registration, digital preservation, legal compliance, or other services directly related to the operation of the journal.
