Learning services at the Faculty of Manufacturing Technology (FTM), Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani, averaged 3.79 against a target of 4 in the 2023/2024 academic year, or 94.6% of the target. The figure comes from monitoring 20 service items, ranging from how well lectures follow the academic calendar to the orderliness of academic administration.
Five items met the target in full: exams held on schedule, lecturers' attendance, re-registration carried out on schedule, lecturers teaching within their field, and the suitability of course materials.
Results by dimension
The service items are grouped into five dimensions, with the following average scores:
- Responsiveness: 4
- Assurance: 3.86
- Reliability: 3.83
- Empathy: 3.63
- Tangibles: 3.45
Items needing attention
The lowest score, 3.1, was for recording teaching and learning activities and entering them into the academic information system (SIM). Monitoring found the system slow and often unresponsive, so the planned follow-up is to upgrade the system or expand bandwidth and server capacity.
Three other items scored 0.4 below target: reporting and administration of academic activities, student attendance, and timely re-registration. Follow-up actions include an end-of-semester review with a reminder system, stricter attendance discipline with support for mobile data and infrastructure, and closer contact with parents together with better tuition payment notifications.
Context from the previous report
The previous service satisfaction report available, for 2020/2021, assessed facilities and infrastructure services through 16 items and reached 82.5% of target. The two reports assess different services, so their figures cannot be compared directly, although both use a scale of 1 to 4 with a target of 4.
Scores for every item, together with the monitoring results and planned follow-up, are available on the Learning Service Evaluation 2023/2024 page.
