The average score in the student evaluation of lecturers (EDOM) at the Faculty of Manufacturing Technology (FTM), Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani, reached 3.84 out of 4 in the odd semester of 2024/2025. The figure is based on 567 respondents in 13 classes taught by 10 lecturers of the Industrial Engineering program.

All 13 classes received the Very Satisfied rating, which applies to classes with an average score of at least 3.75.

Consistent over three semesters

Similar results were recorded in the two previous semesters whose data has been published:

  • Odd semester 2023/2024: 3.84 from 1,114 respondents in 28 classes taught by 14 lecturers.
  • Even semester 2023/2024: 3.83 from 189 respondents in 5 classes taught by 2 lecturers.
  • Odd semester 2024/2025: 3.84 from 567 respondents in 13 classes taught by 10 lecturers.

In all three periods, no class fell below the Very Satisfied rating.

Five aspects of teaching

The EDOM questionnaire assesses five aspects of teaching. In the odd semester of 2024/2025, the highest scores were for assurance (3.87) and reliability (3.86), followed by empathy (3.83), responsiveness (3.82) and tangibles (3.82). The small differences between aspects show that students' ratings are fairly even across all of them.

How the scores are calculated

Class averages are calculated from valid answers, meaning answers between 1 and 4 for each item. Lecturer, program and faculty averages are then weighted by the number of respondents. The public pages show a summary of all classes and lecturers, while individual results are shared directly with each lecturer and the faculty leadership.

The full summary for each semester, including scores for every questionnaire item, is available on the Student Evaluation of Lecturers page. The latest semester is on the 2024/2025 Odd Semester page.
